Eddie Jordan lets in on Adrian Newey's secret

Adrian Newey competed at the 2024 Grand Prix de Monaco Historique in 'Serie D' this morning in a Lotus 49B. Mr. Monaco himself, Graham Hill won the 1968 with the same car. In the podcast he co-hosts, Formula for Success, Eddie Jordan let the listeners in on Newey's preparation for a Grand Prix in Monaco.

"I have to let you in in a secret because I'm sure he will kill me for telling you this. He's borrowed this sim for his machine that he has at home, so he's able to race the Monaco track on his car at home so as he makes sure he gets it perfect. Because you're not able to test here, of course," the Irishman told the story of how the 65-year-old Briton prepares for the weekend in the principality.

He added: "And so that will tell you how serious he takes it. So anyone who thinks people, people come unprepared. Ladies and gentlemen, Adrian Newey. He actually works out exactly what's happening on the car, on the track before he arrives here."

In 'Serie D' (cars competing from 1966 until 1972), Adrian Newey finished fourth in his Lotus on the famous Monaco track during the race on Sunday.
