The rumour mill is once again turning briskly at the moment. Rumours about the two Red Bull drivers, among others, are circulating on a weekly basis, but Sky Sports analyst Ted Kravitz does not feel that Sergio Perez will be replaced at Red Bull Racing next season. He spoke on the Sky Sports F1 podcast about his views of Red Bull's team.
"Liam Lawson is not ready, Daniel Ricciardo's not coming back, Alex Albon i think would be well advised to stay where he is and Helmut Marko doesn't really want him back from the quote you say, So i don't think anyones talking about Checo being replaced next year it doesn't make sense," Kravitz says.
Perez has managed two victories this Formula 1 season. In Saudi Arabia and in Azerbaijan, the Mexican was fastest. The other eight races of the season have all been won by the 25-year-old Verstappen.
"It caused Red Bull a problem when Checo was up there taking points of Max and Max was furious or angry and disappointed and that was a problem, and they are gonna win the constructors championship anyway with all Max's points and Max is going to win the World Championship, drivers championship," Kravitz said.
Checo will certainly see out his contract which is till the end of 2024. Starting 2025, we may have another driver at Redbull.
Aha, sad little teddy boy has sees his chance to shows his discontent/hate to Max Verstappen again. "Max was furious when Checo took points from him" No teddy idiot, Max was furious because RBR screwed up with his car!! Why is this idiot still on tv? In your eyes your only good/ perfect if your British.
Imho Teddy is right here. It doesn't fit RBR at the moment to replace Checo. The biggest question he raises, is the one that who could get close to Verstappen. The way he poses this (according to this article), seems to me that he is still in his "anti-Max mode".
Yes, Notebook Teddy is choosing his words very carefully these days since Sky F1 Racing almost booted him after his childish rants about the 2021 season. No mention from Teddy about the problems Bottas caused Lewis during the many times he outdrove him. Very biased and predictable journalism from him.
Makes sense from my man super K, but I think Checo will loose the Redbull seat, thats for certain. DR will be driving alongside Max next season. Pérez will not want to be demoted to AT and will ask for big money payout and leave . At that point Redbull will access their talent pool to fill that AT seat, Marko is fan of a certain Lawson I don't see why he won't be able to test with the AT and be ready for the 2024 season.
Vegan, I took a screenshot of this and we'll see next year if this will come true :)
Well according to your insider sources it won't be Lewis replacing Checo.......Lewis has a new $250m 5 year contract with Mercedes. VeganWarrior +5194016-06-2023 15:37 The deals already done. Just to be announced VeganWarrior +5194025-06-2023 09:04 As I have said before the deal is signed, the noise coming put the paddock is the announcement is being held back for PR purposes to create as much hype as possible . VeganWarrior +5194025-06-2023 12:51 As I mentioned my sources have confirmed that the dealnis signed and the announcement date will be at the best PR moment. You're needing an official confirmation, I understand that, you should just wait for that my friend.
Celebrations for all Lewis fans thanks to Vegan's big news. Will be great to see Lewis around for at least another 5 years.
Bravo :) You are henceforth known as the trollcrusher :) Enjoy the Hungarian race.
@Denzel, be patient , the deal is done the sounds from the paddock now is the announcement will be a huge one, as the deal stretches into the ambassador role for Mercedes. I am glad you're such a fan.
Great job in exposing the truth. This proves Vegan lacks credibility in his comments. No point in arguing with someone who is just making up stuff...... the truth is toto and lewis have already stated that there is no signed contract till date.......
To be fair we should accept an apology and forgive him for spreading false news. Let he cast the first stone who has never sinned.
I'm not so sure he will be able to ask for the big money, if he refuses an AlphaTauri seat.
Does seem like the plan, but depends on how DR performs in the AT I imagine. If he bombs, there's little chance the reactive RBR management will endorse it.
I read on the Interwebs that Checko would be replaced which is a contradiction to what a person who roams the paddock is quoted here.
Y'all like to take pot shots at VW for "roaming the paddock" but why don't you take pot shots at the fake tifosi supporter that started all of that nonesense? With her " I heard it through the grapevine" "RB engineer friends" and " I've been in the paddock for 5 decades" crap? Maybe just concentrate on the articles instead of taking shots at other posters, then this place might actually turn into a half decent place to talk about F1 instead of other commenters. Btw my question was rhetorical, I know why y'all don't.
