This is what Hamilton has to say about the Norris and Verstappen crash

After the incident between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris at the Austrian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton declined to share his thoughts on the matter at Silverstone. During the press conference, the seven-time world champion wanted to stay out of the conversation.

Hamilton and Verstappen had their fair share of battles and controversies back in 2021, where the duo were fighting for the world championship. "Nothing really, I didn't think anything, but I was more concerned about my race and enjoying the team's win. It’s nothing to do with me," he began to explain.

The seven-time world champion also did not want to share some tips with Norris about competing against the Dutchman. "Again, I don't think I need to, they [Verstappen and Norris] have raced each other for many years."

Hamilton looks forward to the weekend

Moving on to Mercedes' chances at the British Grand Prix, Hamilton was not completely optimistic. "I think on pure performance, and I don’t think we are currently in the same place as you've seen in the last couple of races. On these high speed circuits, particularly McLaren, I think probably might be the quickest or Max, maybe. We're not that far behind, and I think we've definitely seen some huge strides forward, and it's really great to see that we are slowly getting closer to the front," the Briton concluded.
