Although Helmut Marko celebrated his 80th birthday in 2023, the Red Bull Racing adviser seems to have digested a year full of travel well. That is not to say that the Austrian will be at every Grand Prix in '24, he informed OE24.
No less than 22 Grands Prix occured in the 2023 season. Never before were there so many races on the calendar as this year. It should be added that the races in China and Imola were eventually cancelled for various reasons. For '24, these Grands Prix are scheduled again, bringing the total to 24 races. It will be a real ordeal for the drivers and team members. That much is clear in advance.
Whether Marko will be there at all races in 2024 does not yet appear to be 100 per cent certain, the adviser says in a conversation with the Austrian Medium. "After the season, there will be a conversation about what I will do. It is usual for people to discuss after a season what will happen in the future, that is how it has always been," says Marko, who has a commitment at Red Bull until the end of 2024.
At the same time, he says he still feels fit enough to travel the world with his team Red Bull. "I have the strength to do it. In Las Vegas (with training sessions until four in the morning local time) I was surprisingly fit, better than most," laughed Max Verstappen's discoverer.
