Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner seems to have nothing to complain about in the current Formula 1 season with the fat lead Max Verstappen has built up so far. The Briton is already looking ahead to the 2026 season. Indeed, this season will see major changes to the engines being supplied.

Verstappen has previously expressed his concerns about the new engines, which will have to provide more electric power and will therefore be a lot heavier. "There are only going to be a few tracks where it will be a factor at. For the benefit of the sport, and the FIA taking it really seriously," Horner told Sky Sports.

"The [FIA] President has asked some of the technical team to come and have a look at the data. I think it's important that we don't get it wrong for 2026 because we have a golden opportunity," Red Bull team boss Horner said.

"The more you look at it, the more simulations that are done and the more advanced those simulations become. We are still 2.5 years away from introduction," Horner said. Verstappen is going to be actively involved in this development process, the Dutchman told himself. The reigning world champion also said the first signals from the power unit were good.
