Red Bull has had problems driving over kerbs and bumps in recent races. Charles Leclerc believes these problems will continue in Canada for the Austrian racing team, but he remains wary nonetheless.

"We've had three races in a row, including this one, where kerb riding and bumps are quite big. Here the bumps are not that important, it's not big, but kerb riding is a big thing. So I think that we'll see a similar trend," Leclerc said on Thursday ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix weekend.

Leclerc hopes Red Bull stays behind

Despite Red Bull having had quite a few struggles in recent weeks, the Ferrari driver remains extremely alert. "I expect that from Barcelona onwards, Red Bull will step up. I hope that's not the case though," he added.

Should Red Bull find some extra time again in the coming races, Leclerc says it is important to rely mainly on their own strength. "But I think we've done a good job when we look at our first part of the season. Now we just need to keep focusing on ourselves, hopefully bring new parts as quickly as possible in order to close the gap on tracks that are a bit more normal for Red Bull and put them under a bit more pressure."
