Marko sees Ferrari failing under pressure: 'He doesn't have the title yet'

Ferrari's mistakes in Imola did not come as a complete surprise to Helmut Marko. The Red Bull advisor argues that his team now has the pressure on the Italians and that Ferrari makes mistakes under that high pressure.

Ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Ferrari was the big favorite, but things didn't go to plan. The Monegasque had lost third place to a spin in pursuit of second place from Sergio Perez, while Carlos Sainz got stuck in the gravel on the first lap after a tap from Daniel Ricciardo. On Friday, however, the Spaniard himself had also made a mistake with a crash in qualifying.

Pressure on Ferrari

For Marko, this series of mistakes does not come as a surprise. According to him, Red Bull Racing has now found the right balance for the car and at Sport1.de the Austrian argues that this puts Ferrari under greater pressure. ''Ferrari makes mistakes under pressure,'' Marko is clear about the competitor.

That pressure was also visible for Leclerc, who still seemed unapproachable in the first races. ''He doesn't have the title yet. The pressure is greater there anyway, especially with a home race.'' Marko believes that things are close now and is a lot more optimistic after Max Verstappen's victory in Imola. ''If we continue like this then Ferrari is on the limit and then it won't always go so easily for them,'' the Red Bull Racing top executive concludes.

Marko is a instigater. I'm sure all the teams know this by now.

Charles, i wish you start shutting this Marko guy up. I swear this guy thinks he is behind the wheel of the Red Bull. If it wasnt for Max he would've been a fart in the wind. His head is to big literary and figuratively. He must go munch down on a pear next to a woman of his own age on a balcony in Austria somewhere and let his ego out with one hell of a fart.

I support Ferrari but have to admit, Perez is most probably the best wingman you can get in F1. They should give him a good contract.
