Painful! Perez crashes in Q1 and is out of qualifying Monaco

Sergio Perez did himself an appalling disservice in qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. The Mexican hit the wall hard at the first corner early in Q1 and could not continue his way. It meant a red flag and an exit for Max Verstappen's teammate. The 33-year-old driver thus awaits a catch-up race through the narrow streets of Monaco on Sunday.
