At the start of a Formula 1 season, you can usually predict who will be the fastest driver of the different teams. However, after the first few races you can only say that with more certainty and that moment seems to have arrived for almost all teams.
Looking at the qualifying battles after Saturday in Spain, the gap between the two drivers on each team is increasing. All the drivers who were behind before this qualifying session saw their gap widen today, confirming Barcelona's status as an ideal test track.
Are there no surprises at all? Yes there are. Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso who are being annihilated by their younger team mates. Or Yuki Tsunoda, who for the time being can't keep his promise at AlphaTauri.
