Daniel Ricciardo had a strong weekend at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. Despite a 10-second time penalty, he managed to drive towards seventh place and finish ahead of teammate Lando Norris. The result ensures Ricciardo travels to Interlagos "in good spirits".

Like teammate Norris, Ricciardo is also looking forward to returning to São Paulo. "The crowd there is great, particularly with the carnival vibes around the circuit which is always fun. It’s an awesome track to drive with the banking and camber changes so it should make for an interesting race, and a good weekend for the fans to watch, particularly with the Sprint on Saturday," Ricciardo said in a McLaren press release.

Due to his strong race in the Mexican GP, the Australian starts the next race weekend extra motivated. "Coming off a solid result in Mexico, I’m in good spirits and we’ll be aiming to use the momentum to carry us through for the last two races. Let’s go," said the McLaren driver.

The Mexican Grand Prix marked a successful weekend for Ricciardo, in which he managed to finish ahead of his teammate Norris. Ricciardo had the chance to continue on mediums for a long time before making a late stop for softs. Despite a 10-second time penalty for an incident with Yuki Tsunoda, the Australian managed to get back to P7 in an attacking final stint.
