Yuki Tsunoda closed the fifth F1 test day as the driver with the most miles driven. The Japanese driver was able to drive a full race simulation in the afternoon. His AlphaTauri seems very reliable so far.

AlphaTauri looks very reliable during all the test days. The team is running a lot of laps and the times are occasionally competing at the top of the list. Tsunoda added another good day on the second day in Bahrain and the fifth test day in total. The young driver drove 649.44 kilometres, which is equivalent to 120 laps. His fastest time was a 1:36:802, which was good for tenth place.

AlphaTauri made important preparations GP Bahrain

Tsunoda let it be known in a press statement, "It was a good day with a lot of laps and a lot of mileage, which allowed us to collect crucial data. We didn't really focus on performance today." Tsunoda also noticed the strong wind on the track and calls today's conditions difficult. Tomorrow, Tsunoda will get behind the wheel for the last time during testing. He will take charge of Saturday afternoon. Teammate Pierre Gasly will be behind the wheel of the AT03 in the morning.

Chief Race Engineer Jonathan Eddolls also looks back on a successful day. In the morning there was a lot of testing and in the afternoon there was enough time for a race simulation: "After lunch, we immediately started an undisturbed race simulation, where we used all three tires. This was useful not only for Yuki but also for the team to prepare for next week's race."
