The engine in Leclerc's SF20 in Hungary is so badly damaged that he has had a new unit screwed into his car. The new spec-3, which includes Shell's oil and new petrol and hybrid modifications, is scheduled for the weekend at
Istanbul Park, so Leclerc will simply be driving with a power unit as he has in recent GPs.
The
Italian Grand Prix is scheduled for September 12, while the Turkish Grand Prix will take place on October 3. The Tiffosi will have to be patient for a while.
The new engine should indeed deliver about ten horsepower extra and there is also something to come in terms of aerodynamics.
"In the Ardennes Ferrari has made some small aero updates, but the expectations are not too optimistic after analysing the simulation data", reads the Italian website.
