The Sprint Shootout started with a 35-minute delay early Saturday afternoon. Because we started later, the start time of the sprint race also moves up. The FIA reports that the new start time is scheduled for 17:05.

Initially, the sprint race was scheduled to start at 16:30 local time, but the 35-minute delay in the sprint Shootout, means that we will start the short 15-lap race later today, also 35 minutes later. This is because the regulations stipulate that there must be a minimum of 4.5 hours between the two sessions.

It also gives the FIA a bit more time to fully complete the programme of the other racing classes, such as Formula 2.
