Rosenqvist impresses and goes fastest in Top Twelve qualifiying Indy500

Qualifying for the Indy500 is nearing its denouement. The Fast Twelve is over and so the names of the drivers who made it to the Fast Six are known. Felix Rosenqvist was the fastest in the Top Twelve qualifiying.

• Santino Ferrucci impressed by clocking an average time of 233.911 miles per hour early on. Van Kalmthout was not much below the Italian in his run with a time a speed of 233.801 miles per hour. After that, only Felix Rosenqvist went faster than Ferrucci and 'Veekay'. The other drivers who will compete in the Fast Six are named Alexander Palou, Scott Dixon and Pato O'Ward.

The numbers seven to 12 are Alexander Rossi, Takuma Sato, Tony Kanaan, Marcus Ericsson, Benjamin Pedersen and Will Power. Their average speed over four laps was not enough to get among the first six.

The Fast Six is scheduled for later tonight.
