Pascal Wehrlein finished the third and final free practice for the E-Prix in Berlin as the fastest. The former
Formula 1 driver was just ahead of yesterday's race winner, Nick Cassidy.
Stoffel Vandoorne recorded the third-fastest time.
Wehrlein fastest in FP3
Wehrlein clocked the fastest lap time early in practice but had Cassidy just behind him. The latter won the weekend's first race after coming out of nowhere and overtook leader, Jean-Eric Vergne, after the second safety car.
Stoffel Vandoorne recorded a time good enough for third place on behalf of DS Penske in the final practice session.
The team of the absent
Nyck de Vries, Mahindra Racing, was not in the top ten after Edoardo Mortara surprisingly secured pole position on Saturday. Nevertheless, the team finished in 12th place on Sunday morning. De Vries could not enjoy the suddenly strong form of his
Formula E team as the Dutchman was present at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps due to contractual obligations in the
WEC.
