After a hectic
Austrian Grand Prix, the drivers have little rest. This Sunday, the next race is already scheduled, and it is a classic: the
British Grand Prix. The British consider themselves the founding fathers of
Formula 1, and the
Silverstone circuit is undoubtedly going to host around 150,000 spectators per day again. The home fans are certainly hoping for a British victory. But will
Max Verstappen be beaten?
Verstappen and his
Red Bull Racing are also the big favourites at
Silverstone. However, Mercedes - with
Lewis Hamilton and
George Russell as home drivers - will be hoping that the tide will finally turn in England. Hamilton has not won a race for a season and a half, the seven-time world champion would love to be the best again in front of his own crowd. Then there is
Lando Norris, who with his McLaren, also wants to shine in his home race. The youngster hopes the
McLaren will be as competitive as it was in Spielberg.
When will the drivers be in action?
In Austria, there was a Sprint Shootout and a Sprint. As a result, Friday and Saturday were different from normal. At Silverstone, it is as usual: three free practice sessions, a qualifying session and a Grand Prix. This race starts at 3pm local time, where Verstappen will aim for his 43rd win on Sunday.
