Rainy session to shake up the order?
Saturday is predicted to be a rainy day at the
Spa-Francorchamps track. According to Weather.com, rain is scheduled to arrive during FP3, that will be important, as there is a 83% chance of rain in qualifying. Moreover, Friday's FP1 and FP2 were run in dry conditions. With drivers and teams having just one session to practice in the rainy conditions, and the difficulty of the Spa track, the difference between the cars will be minimalised. As a result, with a good run, anyone can rise up the ranks.
On Friday, it was Max Verstappen who first set the pace in FP1, and then
Lando Norris retook the lead in the afternoon during FP2. The Dutchman will also have a 10-place grid penalty for Sunday. Could
McLaren keep their newly found lead on Saturday in the Ardennes in tricky conditions?
