Aston Martin may also lose their top technical executive
- GPblog.com
Earlier this week, Aston Martin announced that Otmar Szafnauer will leave. Now there are rumours that possibly Andrew Green will also leave the team.
Aston Martin has to look for a new team boss. A month and a half before the start of the pre-season test, Otmar Szafnauer has resigned from the team. This is a big blow for the British team, but the problem could possibly get a little bigger.
According to FormulaNerds there is a chance that Andrew Green, the Chief Technical Officer at the team, will also leave. Without a team principal and technical officer, the new regulations will be a tough season for Aston Martin.
Why Green would also be leaving the team has not been revealed, but possibly it could have something to do with the rumors going around about Szafnauer. The team boss will reportedly be moving to Alpine Racing and Green could be making the same move.
Also a major sponsor gone at Aston Martin?
In addition to Green and Szafnauer, it also seems that Aston Martin is losing a major sponsor. On the sponsor list of the team BWT can no longer be found. This was also temporarily the case last year because BWT only signed a new contract with Aston Martin in January. With all the chaotic circumstances however, the company might just decide to seek refuge with another Formula One team.
