Albon 'really happy' after another impressive GP
- Rafael Diaz Lehmann
It was another good race from Williams' Alex Albon, who nearly repeated last round's feat in scoring points, but just came short in 11th place.
Despite finishing 12th on the road, Alex Albon ended up classified 11th after the Alpine of Esteban Ocon ahead of him was given a 5-Second Penalty for his collision with Lewis Hamilton in the pitlane.
This meant that Albon was once again showing competitive speed in his Williams for the second weekend in a row, an impressive streak of performance for sure.
Albon happy with Grand Prix
Talking to Sky Sports, the British-Thai driver seemed extremely satisfied with the race.
"I’m really happy with the result today. We maximised the opportunities and overtook some cars on track with the pace we had." Albon stated. "We had a new rear wing configuration for the weekend which really helped us hold position, and was particularly important in the second half of the race when battling with Gasly. It’s a shame that we missed out on points by one place, but we are taking opportunities, doing things differently and showing that we can battle higher up despite not having the fastest car."
Despite being in an uncompetitive car, Albon finished just four seconds behind Stroll in 10th place. An impressive showing for sure.
