F1 Constructors' standings after Monaco | Red Bull open lead on Ferrari
- GPblog.com
Red Bull Racing has further increased its lead in the Constructors' Championship. Whereas the difference with rival Ferrari was still 26 points after the Spanish Grand Prix, the team of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez increased the gap by ten points in Monaco.
The Italian racing team was hoping to put its house in order in Monaco and beat Red Bull, but failed to do so. With a second and fourth place for Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc respectively, Ferrari pulled in a lot of points. However, it was not enough to prevent Red Bull from running out again.
In third place, Mercedes can still be found. The German formation has a gap of no less than 75 points on Mclaren, so the team can afford to make a misstep in the coming weeks. Alfa Romeo is one point ahead of Alpine, which is in sixth place.
At the bottom, little changed. Haas and Williams did not manage to bring in any points, while Sebastian Vettel gave Aston Martin a point with a tenth place. The result brings his team's point total to seven, leaving them eight points behind Haas.
