Perez again faces two Ferraris: 'Couldn't get into the rhythm'.

Sergio Perez had to concede more than four-tenths to Max Verstappen's time in qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix. The Mexican would have preferred to be closer to him, as his time now brought him no further than fourth place. Once again, he has to sit behind both Ferrari's and his teammate.
The Mexican has had better Fridays, he told Sky Sports. "From the first free practice it didn't feel great, so we needed some time to understand the car. Hopefully, we will be better tomorrow."
Perez failed to get into a nice flow. "I wasn't able to get into the rhythm, so we still need to master things better. We have the sprint race tomorrow and the GP on Sunday, so we need to keep our heads up and push hard for tomorrow's sprint and make some good progress to get the best possible position for Sunday's race."
Verstappen does manage it
Verstappen did manage to string his lap together in the end, but he would also have had to settle for a place on the second row of the grid. Speaking to the same British medium, the reigning world champion said that his first sector was not exactly to write home about.
"My turns 1 and 3 were not the best, so I knew the rest of the lap had to be pretty spot on to get pole. I think especially the last sector was a lot better than what I showed before. That was also more on the edge, towards the limits of the track," Verstappen said.
