Max Verstappen's plan to create a gap in the Ferrari at the start worked out well. The Dutchman then drove comfortably to victory, taking home his first points of the weekend. Verstappen does see one small point for improvement.

"It was important to create a bit of a gap straight away and we did well. Of course, they were also fighting a bit. Actually, the speed was a bit the same after that for my feeling. They are fast and I also think it will be close tomorrow," Verstappen began for the Viaplay camera.

In terms of tyre management, Sunday's main race could be interesting. The high-speed Spielberg circuit takes a lot out of the tyres, so Verstappen says his team will be looking at the data.

Verstappen talks about tyre wear

"We're definitely going to look at that to get that a bit better. I think you have to go on different tyres tomorrow anyway, on the hard tyre. I think 24 laps was just near the end of that tyre already, so then of course it's always a bit of a difficult story," said the Dutchman.

Teammate Sergio Perez managed to drive back from P13 to P5 after his grid penalty. Who knows, the Mexican might be able to do something to help the Ferrari on Sunday. Charles Leclerc is confident and thinks he can beat Red Bull in the main race.
