Max Verstappen was the fastest man on the Red Bull Ring in both qualifying on Friday and the sprint race on Saturday. It gave him the best starting position for the Austrian Grand Prix, but he will have to keep ahead of the Ferrari's of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

Behind the top three, George Russell is eager to add another podium to his resume, but he has Sergio Perez in his wake. Lewis Hamilton will have to deal with Kevin Magnussen and Esteban Ocon from eighth on the grid before he can join his rivals.
Further back Sebastian Vettel has moved from his last starting position after Fernando Alonso encountered problems in the sprint race and Alfa Romeo decided to fit Valtteri Bottas with a new power unit. Alpine may decide to do the same for Alonso after the sprint race, as the Spaniard was already close to the limit and can change to a new engine for free.
