Sainz: 'Missing the last tenth to beat Verstappen and Leclerc'.

Carlos Sainz will battle Red Bull Racing from third position on Sunday. The Spaniard was unable to improve on the times of Max Verstappen and teammate Charles Leclerc. Still, Sainz hopes he can try something in the race.
"It was a clean lap with no mistakes. We are just missing that last half a tenth to beat Charles and Max. It was on the limit out there today with every little metre of track that you could use, and that you could push was counting. In the end, we did a decent job," Sainz told Giedo van der Garde after qualifying.
Sainz expects interesting Sunday
Overtaking on the Zandvoort circuit is difficult, but Sainz hopes his team can try something with the strategy. Unfortunately for the Spaniard, strategic choices have not been a strong point of Ferrari in recent races, and Verstappen will do everything he can to turn his pole position into a victory.
"Especially with the heavier cars, this track is demanding on the tyres. We have a lot of overheating in the long runs. Tomorrow is going to be interesting, even if it’s a difficult track to overtake. There are still many options with the strategy," said the Ferrari driver.
