Hamilton experiences déjà vu: "Only once was that rule not followed"

Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff had a moment of déjà vu during the closing stages of the Italian Grand Prix. However, unlike the 2021 Abu Dhabi race, this time the race ended behind the safety car.
The finish of the Italian GP can be seen as an anticlimax. It also immediately raises the question of why F1's regulations would allow a race to finish under such conditions. Why not just red flag if a safety car is needed within five laps of the end of the race?
Hamilton still bitter
The race at Monza certainly caused mixed feelings for Hamilton. ''It always brings memories back. This is how the rules should be right?," Hamilton said after the race in front of the camera of Sky Sports. Wolff said earlier that at least he now saw a race committee respecting the rules.
The pain of Abu Dhabi therefore still runs deep for both. "There's only one time in the history of the sport where they haven't done the rules like that today and that's the one where it changed the result of the championship. But it is what it is," concluded the seven-time world champion.
