Max Verstappen started from fifth and moved up two places into third, but eventually, the Dutchman had to retire with a technical issue, which has led Verstappen frustrated.
The 20-year-old didn't have the best start in the world but then had a good part of the race, in which he overtook Kimi Raikkonen and passed Lewis Hamilton, who got spun at the start.
"I didn't have a very nice start, but we could build up some speed afterwards," he said to Dutch tv station Ziggo Sport.
"They then told me I had a problem with my brakes, but that was suddenly resolved.
"Very strange, because normally that's your race over.
"I could continue afterwards, but we just lacked a lot of speed.
Still, Verstappen managed to defend against Kimi Raikkonen, who was pushing the Dutchman hard but couldn't overtake him. Great defending by him, but in the end, it didn't matter.
"The moment with Kimi was nice, but that was it, really.
"At the end, I braked for turn sixteen but overhit it on the brakes, which made me go into the gravel a bit.
"After that, the pedal was broken, and it was the end of the story."
It wasn't his fault then this time. Disappointing though, after three podiums in a row before this weekend.
