Hamilton wants diversity in his own F1 film with Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt is currently making a film about Formula 1 and Lewis Hamilton is also involved. The seven-time world champion has a voice in the whole process as an advisor and producer. Currently, the script is being worked hard on and the lead actor alongside Pitt is being cast.
The story is fictional - so it will not be a biographical film about existing drivers - but the film will use real footage from Formula 1. Hamilton even has high hopes for the production in any case, as he previously called it "the best racing film ever".
Hamilton working hard on new film
During the W13 presentation, Hamilton gave a status update on the project. "We are going through a process now of selecting the character that will be alongside Brad," he said to GPblog and others. "That's exciting. That's a process of watching them. We have recordings of them doing certain scenes. I have sat in the office watching them and giving our inputs on what we think."
For the Mercedes driver, it is especially important to get diversity right, in front of and behind the scenes. "I want it to be as Formula 1 should be now, but will be in the future. I want to see female mechanics, I would love to see a female driver. We haven't got to that point yet, but why not? We are still working on the script. We have gone through a number of versions of it, and we are waiting for a new rewrite."
Buying Manchester United
Besides making a film, Hamilton will also become a co-owner of Manchester United in the future. The 38-year-old racing driver is said to be looking to possibly attempt a takeover with billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, owner of Mercedes' sponsor INEOS. The football club is up for sale.
"I am very close with Jim so I know where he is at. We talk a lot about football as he is very passionate about it. We have great discussions about whatever his team is doing and how Arsenal are playing. He is from Manchester so that's his dream home. Where he came from. But there's no further information I can give you on that", Hamilton said.
