Verstappen and Lambiase hard-on in belgium

By heels, Max Verstappen qualified for Q3 in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix. On a drying track, the Red Bull Racing driver was given one lap to set a good time on softs. It turned out to be a tenth time and so there was a sigh of relief, but not for Verstappen. He was particularly pissed at the way he did it.

The reigning world champion was not happy with the way Q2 was approached. Verstappen was keen to do two laps in a row on the softest compound, but he only got one. A lack of temperature was the result, causing him to completely lose grip for a moment on his fast lap and lose more than a second and a half.

It turned out to be just enough for Q3 so reported his race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase, but: 'I don't give a f*ck that I'm through with a P10,' was Verstappen's fierce reply. The Dutchman was furious, but in Q3 it went well. Verstappen was eight tenths faster than the day's number two.

In the press conference, Verstappen was asked about the altercation, as Lambiase did not mince words either. "I mean, that happens sometimes. Most of it is normally always blocked off. We can both be quite vocal or emotional. But we always solve it afterwards, so it's all good."
