With David Schumacher, the Schumacher family has another talented driver in racing. The son of Ralf Schumacher is currently driving in the DTM and GT World Challenge, but is also keeping up with his father's developments. In an interview with German Express, Schumacher looks ahead to his father's comeback and says he is in for father-son teams.

Former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher recently announced his comeback in motorsport. He was feeling up an LMP3 car and liked it so much that Schumacher is working hard to return to the start of a race. Son David is closely following his father's developments and, when asked if he envisages a father and son endurance race, the young German replied in agreement. "Yes, that would be cool. I've driven an LMP3 myself before, it's a really cool car. I'm open to such a father-son race. He [Ralf] is of course very busy as an F1 commentator and I myself also drive in the DTM and the GT World Challenge. Finding the right time is therefore difficult."

Some fathers of drivers in the current F1 field are also still active in racing. Kevin Magnussen's father Jan and Jos Verstappen are well-known examples. When Schumacher is pictured racing against these fathers and sons, he gets excited. "That sounds good. Only I don't know if Jos still drives that kind of car and if he still fits in an LMP3 car. It's quite tight!" the German joked. "But definitely, it would be fun to do something like that. I think that attracts a lot of spectators and gives them fun.
