Not only is
Max Verstappen on
Mercedes' radar, but so is Red Bull
Formula 1 team technical director Pierre Waché. The power struggle within the Austrian team is still not over, so teams seem to see their chance to contract Red Bull's current employees. According to
F1-Insider, Mercedes are eager to acquire Waché.
Horner saga sparks many rumours
The saga surrounding
Christian Horner has sparked a huge number of rumours about all kinds of Red Bull team members. For example, a rumour has already appeared that Newey received a million-dollar offer from Aston Martin. Verstappen has also been linked to Mercedes. Mercedes team principal
Toto Wolff also flirted with the signing of Red Bull advisor
Helmut Marko.
Things are not yet going great for Mercedes this season. With
Lewis Hamilton and
George Russell, the constructor has yet to score a huge number of points. Hamilton is leaving for
Ferrari after this season, so there will be a seat next to Russell. Partly for this reason, Verstappen is also linked to team owner Wolff's team.
