What is the weather forecast for the Hungarian Grand Prix?

Formula One failed to escape the wet weather at the British Grand Prix, with frequent rainfall across the weekend. This weekend though, temperatures are set to be much warmer, with the weather mainly expected to stay dry for the Hungarian Grand Prix. 

Weather forecast for the Hungarian Grand Prix 

Ahead of the weekend, Mogyoród, where the Hungaroring is, had been put on a weather warning for extreme temperatures. This was followed by a thunderstorm warning. As of now, a moderate thunderstorm warning still stands.

On Friday, teams were met with incredibly warm conditions for the first two free practice sessions. Temperatures reached over 30 degrees Celsius at the start of FP1. Conditions were mostly sunny, with winds around five miles per hour. Unlike the British Grand Prix weekend, there is a 0% chance of rain, for Friday. On Saturday, drivers experienced similar conditions, and were met with rain during Saturday's qualifying. 

For Sunday's race, which begins at 2pm UK time, drivers and their teams will once again have to manage the warm conditions, with temperatures expected around 30 degrees Celsius. There is also a chance of rain, but it's just six per cent. It's set to be partly cloudy on race day, too. This warm weather, which is certainly different from Silverstone, is just another element that teams and their drivers will need to manage, especially as the title battle continues to grow closer.
