Verstappen has good news for McLaren: 'Maybe there is no more in it'

After his dominant performance last year, Max Verstappen's Formula 1 season in 2024 looks very different. The Red Bull Racing driver keeps a realistic attitude and realises that, however difficult, there is a chance that his old form will not return.
Verstappen: 'Maybe there is no more in it'
"You're always searching for more, but sometimes you have to be realistic. Maybe there isn't more, but it's trying to just stay at that level, even though that is incredibly hard," Verstappen told F1TV. "We are not robots. So, yes, it is very tough."
He continued: "I always knew that it was never going to be easy, compared to last year.. That's just how it goes, right? I think it's something that we'll look back at in 10 or 20 years time. I think everyone appreciates a little bit more what we did as a team."
"So for me personally, even now, when you're maybe not the quickest car, it doesn't really change the mentality. Of course, naturally, you want to be better, you always want to win. But, we just try to probably get back to that level," Verstappen said.
