Oliver Bearman confidently wins eventful F2 Sprint Race in Monza

Oliver Bearman has won the F2 Sprint Race at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. This was Bearman's second Sprint Race victory of the season, having previously won in Spielberg. Victor Martins finished in P2, while Joshua Durksen finished third in Italy. After getting involved in an incident early on, Kimi Antonelli finished the race in P18.
The F2 sprint race began with a big crash in Monza. Before the crash reached Turn 1, Oliver Goethe and Zak O'Sullivan crashed out. Therefore, he safety car was called out on track. Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who just earned a promotion from F2 to Mercedes' F1 team, was also involved in the crash, as his front wing was destroyed and had a front left puncture. However, the Italian could continue the race.
Following the chaos, the session could resume on Lap 4, with Pepe Marti leading the pack ahead of Enzo Fittipaldi. The Brazilian could overtake the Spaniard, but locked up into Turn 1, so he had to give the position back. During the following laps, Oliver Bearman had an exciting battle with Victor Martins, and got up to second place on Lap 5. Two laps later, Bearman took the lead as the Spaniard also made a mistake into Turn 1.
The Briton could extend his lead at the front, as Marti fought hard with both Victor Martins and Fittipaldi before conceding a place. While Frenchman gave his best, the British youngster could run away with the victory at Prema's home track. Martins finished in P2, while Joshua Durksen claimed the final place on the podium. On a final lap battle, Marti could keep P4 ahead of Zane Maloney.
While the championship-leader Isack Hadjar failed to score points, luckily for him, Gabriel Bortoleto only got a single point, and on Lap 19, Paul Aron got a puncture and also missed out on points. Therfore, the Frenchman still leads the standings by 30 points ahead of the Brazilian.
