Toto Wolff thinks there is nothing wrong with Daniel Ricciardo setting the fastest lap in the Singapore Grand Prix, taking an important point away from Lando Norris. Therefore, Red Bull's sister team, VCARB, helped out Verstappen in his World Championship battle with the McLaren driver.

Does Wolff think there was foul play from VCARB?

McLaren's team boss, Andrea Stella, wanted the situation to be addressed. Norris held the fastest lap of the race point until Ricciardo took it from him. The Australian didn't score the bonus point himself because he finished outside of the top 10. Stella did not directly accuse Red Bull Racing and the sister team of foul play, but does think that the relationship between the Formula 1 teams should be looked at.

However, Wolff does not think it is all that bad. "I think you have to probably play all strategies. I don't think it was a dirty play. Not at all. It was within the regulations. There drivers were not unfair with each other," said the Mercedes team boss.

Wolff concluded by saying it's "no big deal". Verstappen was grateful to Ricciardo, as it could prove vital if Norris continues to close the gap. Ricciardo was happy to help and hinted that he might get a nice Christmas present from Verstappen if he wins his fourth world title by one point.
