'Red Bull already adjusted F1 car before Singapore GP after FIA warning'

Red Bull Racing reportedly made sure it could not use the much-discussed 'trick' on the floor of the RB20 even before the Singapore Grand Prix following a warning from the FIA. The Austrian Formula 1 team was reportedly reminded after qualifying that its use was not allowed under the parc fermé rules.

In the run-up to the United States Grand Prix, there was a problem with a Red Bull component after the FIA said several F1 teams had raised concerns about it. The governing body said it would introduce stricter testing in future to prevent adjustments being made between qualifying and the race, when cars are in parc fermé.
According to The Race, Red Bull was reminded by the FIA already after qualifying in Singapore that changing the ride height before the race was not allowed under the parc fermé rules. It would have been ensured that the team drove in the race with the same set-up as in qualifying. In that case, the Austrian team will not be driving at the Circuit of the Americas for the first time without the device, which Red Bull itself stressed could not be used anyway once the car is fully assembled.
Red Bull admitted to having the mechanism, whereby the ride height can be adjusted at the front. However, Max Verstappen assured that it was only a tool that could only be used when the car was apart. Nevertheless, the team said it had "agreed a plan for the future" with the FIA regarding the mechanism.
