Max Verstappen has received a ten-second time penalty for his incident with Lando Norris at the Mexican Grand Prix. The Dutchman is still ahead of the Briton on the track, but the gap between the two drivers is less than ten seconds.

Max Verstappen has been given a ten-second time penalty for the incident with Lando Norris. The Dutchman was overtaken by Norris but then overtook him again. Verstappen dived hard on the inside of Norris and ended up outside the track together with Norris.

Norris immediately called Verstappen 'dangerous' on the team radio and stated that this was the same as last time. According to Norris, he had to avoid a crash. The stewards agreed with the Briton, who gave Verstappen a ten-second time penalty, much to Verstappen's dissatisfaction.

After the first time penalty of ten seconds, a second time penalty of ten seconds followed shortly after for Verstappen. The first ten seconds was for the defensive action, the second for the offensive action.
