Max Verstappen brilliantly won the Formula 1 race at Interlagos. In the rain, the Red Bull Racing driver managed to cross the finish line first from a P17 start. Afterwards, Verstappen was ecstatic with the result. The Dutchman had previously not won a race since the Spanish Grand Prix in June.

"Wow, been a long time coming mate but boy was that worth the wait. You are the man!" Race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase told Verstappen over the onboard radio after Verstappen crossed the line. The Brazilian Grand Prix winner responded with his signature victory message: ""Yes! What an unbelievable race guys. You know what that is. Simply lovely. I tell you that."

Verstappen dealt a rock-hard blow to Norris in the drivers' championship. The Dutchman is now a whopping 62 points above the McLaren driver, with three races to go.
