F1 drivers join Brad Pitt's character on the podium in Abu Dhabi!

Brad Pitt has been a staple around the 2024 season as he is filming for the F1 movie. Today, his character 'Sonny Hayes' was featured on the Abu Dhabi podium.
After the Abu Dhabi celebratory podium, one of the drivers came back on. Charles Leclerc placed 3rd in the actual race and then 2nd on the podium with Brad Pitt for the F1 movie. Pitt was on the Formula 1 podium as his character 'Sonny Hayes'. Pitt is in the upcoming F1 movie, which is set to be released in June 2025.
He stood on the podium's top step with Leclerc in the second and Mercedes driver George Russell in the third. All three reenacted an actual podium celebration, including receiving trophies and spraying the champagne (or, in this case, rose water). In the movie, Sonny Hayes drives for the fictional team APX GP. While it is not clear how the movie will turn out, some parts have been witnessed by fans attending the races.

In Las Vegas, Pitt was filmed performing stunts for what seemed to be a crash. The movie features the actual F1 drivers, so both Leclerc and Russell were on the podium with him today. Lewis Hamilton (Russell's now former teammate and Leclerc's 2025 teammate) is a co-producer of the movie.
