Franco Colapinto has secured his spot in the Formula 1 paddock for 2025. The Argentine driver has signed a multi-year deal to become the reserve driver for Alpine. Curious about the full lineup of reserve drivers in Formula 1 for 2025? Check out the complete list here.

Franco Colapinto earning a contract for 2025 comes as no surprise. Speculation had swirled for months about the Argentine’s next move following his strong performance as Logan Sargeant's replacement at Williams. Late into the season, rumours persisted about a potential seat at Red Bull, but that ultimately went to Liam Lawson. Instead, Colapinto signed with Alpine, where he will take on the role of reserve driver.

As for Red Bull Racing, their 2025 reserve driver remains undecided. With Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar both promoted to full-time seats, the team will need to select a new candidate for the role.
