- Savannah Lenz
The season has not even started and teams are already making major changes. In the past year alone, the 10 Formula 1 teams have shuffled many key team players amongst themselves.
Buxton makes moves
British journalist, Will Buxton has confirmed that he will be leaving F1TV and that he will become a reporter/commentator on Indycar. He will be joining two others, James Hinchcliffe and Townsend Bell. In his official leaving statement on his Instagram, Buxton said, "A decade ago, I reported on my first Indycar races, including my first visit to IMS(International Motor Speedway.) I fell in love with the place immediately." Buxton will now work for Fox Sports.
Sauber says goodbye
Ahead of the beginning of the 2025 season, Alessandro Alunni Bravi will be leaving Sauber. Bravi has been with the team since 2017 and has been the team's Managing Director since 2022. In his statement, he mentioned how emotional this was for him. He said "It is an emotional time as my journey with Sauber reaches its end." Another member of the Sauber team, Mattia Binotto had this to say, "Alessandro played a wide range of roles within the team, steering it through difficult and exciting times alike."
The FIA on Fines and the GPDA
In response to the drivers requesting full transparency from the FIA regarding fines, single-seater director Nikolas Tombazis mentioned that he thinks the demand comes from the drivers being tuned in to their emotions due to receiving the fines themselves. "I think this question is sometimes slightly influenced by the emotions of the moment, of whatever fine is being discussed and so on". The FIA has not issued a statement regarding their official response to the GPDA's request as of yet.
