Max Verstappen in a Ford Mustang Dark Horse. The American brand, promoting their collaboration with Red Bull Powertrains entering the 2026 regulation change, shared a video of the Dutchman testing the aforementioned car on track.

Verstappen races in Mustang Dark Horse for Ford

In the video, that is called 'Living on the Limit', Verstappen gets the most out of Mustang. The video captured the fans imagination, as many are already looking forward to seeing the four-time world champion possibly testing other cars of the brand, including the Ford Mustang GTD. At the moment, any further events haven't been released.

The Ford Mustang Dark Horse is equipped with a V8 engine that has 453 horsepower, and accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 4.5 seconds.

In terms of F1, Red Bull Racing will enter the final year of their partnership with Honda in 2025. The Japanese engine manufacturer will join forces with Aston Martin from the 2026 F1 season onwards, while Red Bull will develop their own power unit for the first time in their history, in partnership with Ford. The PU will be called Red Bull Ford Powertrains.
