F1 News

Charles Leclerc ended his winter testing in Bahrain on the perfect note, finishing the morning session in P1, just ahead of the Mercedes of Andrea Kimi Antonelli in P2.
The Monegasque driver continued the pace Ferrari have shown in the desert of Sakhir by finishing first in his final bit of testing before the Australian Grand Prix, while the 18-year-old Antonelli was just a tenth. Lando Norris, who was the fastest on the first day of testing, rounded out the top three.
Only Max Verstappen and Alex Albon who took part in the morning session will suit up again in the afternoon, meaning the other eight drivers have completed their winter testing around the Bahrain International Circuit after driving the morning session.
The only delay in the session came with an hour to go, when a bizarre incident on the start/finish straight brought out the red flag, as a smashed window from the race control pod above the startline had a smashed window, meaning shattered glass fell onto the track and delayed the session for roughly ten minutes.
Verstappen in the RB21 with a new front wing was good enough for P4 in the first four hours of the day, but he will get behind the wheel again in the afternoon, with Alex Albon, finishing P6, doing the same. Jack Doohan in his Alpine split those two in P5.
Isack Hadjar in his Racing Bulls car set the seventh fastest time but he clocked in the most laps with 72 to his name. Fernando Alonso and Aston Martin were P8, while Gabriel Bortoleto in the Sauber was P9, only completing 35 laps, the least out of all ten drivers. The Haas of Oliver Bearman rounded out the top ten.
