F1 Full Results | Chinese Grand Prix: Piastri wins; Verstappen P4

Oscar Piastri took a fine first victory of the 2025 Formula 1 season, leading from the front to win the Chinese Grand Prix. Teammate Lando Norris managed a late race brake issue to finish in P2, while George Russell rounded out the podium.

Piastri made amends from last weekend's Australian Grand Prix, where one lapse in concentration meant he dropped from P2 to P9 in front of his home fans.

However, around the Shanghai International Circut, it was a faultless performance, holding onto P1 at the race start and never relinquishing the lead as he controlled proceedings.

His teammate Norris was never able to really close the gap at the front, and a lat brake issue meant he could not try to challenge for the win in the final stages, just focusing on bringing the car home instead, bringing McLaren their 50th 1-2 finish in Formula 1.

Russell changed down Norris in the final stages due to his issue, but the chequered flag came just a lap or two too late, finishing P3 with another great performance.

It was a tale of two races for Max Verstappen, who really struggled in the first phase of the race. However, an impressive second stint meant he turned his race around to finish in P4 ahead of Charles Leclerc in P5.

Lewis Hamilton struggled to replicate his sprint dominance, with his two-stop strategy not working to effect, meaning he could only take sixth place. Esteban Ocon was the best of the rest with a fine P7 finish, while Kimi Antonelli took P8.

Birthday boy Alex Albon and Oliver Bearman, both on the one-stop strategy, rounded out the top ten by finishing in P9 and P10, respectively.
