Daniil Kvyat hopes to make it to the birth of his first child after the British GP

Daniil Kvyat's girlfriend Kelly Piquet, whose father is the F1 legend Nelson Piquet, is due to give birth today. Kvyat hopes that the birth will happen in a few days and that he can be there for the birth of his first child.

“Honestly yes, there is the risk that it will happen now,” the Toro Rosso driver told Russia’s Sport-Express.“We think it will happen after the race, but we have everything prepared already. But I hope it is after the race!”

The Russian opened up on his relationship with Nelson Piquet, “I’m not sure he always wants to talk about racing, but he certainly has a lot of stories,” Kvyat said, "I try not to ask too many questions!”

Hopefully, Kvyat makes it to the birth and who knows, with the racing blood in the youngster we may see them in Formula 1 in the future.
