Preview: Italian Grand Prix - Start times, odds and predictions!
The Italian Grand Prix is one of the most iconic race on the F1 2019 calendar. It is Ferrari's home race and the support for the team at this circuit is always massive. The Italian team will be hoping to back up last weekends victory with similar success here. Here's a preview of the weekend's action.
Last year
Lewis Hamilton won the 2018 Italian Grand Prix despite Ferrari locking out the front row in qualifying. It will be interesting to see if history repeats itself or if Ferrari can go on to win their home race.
Last year saw the Force India's of Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez finish 6th and 7th so perhaps a midfield team will have similar success this year.
What to expect this year
The high-speed low downforce circuit should suit the Ferrari's so we can expect them to be the team to beat. After Charles Leclerc's impressive win at the Belgian Grand Prix last weekend, he will be looking to build on this momentum and get another race win under his belt.
It is hard to think that Mercedes won't bounce back and the battle at the front is going to be tight.
The midfield battle is set to be as tight as ever with McLaren looking to return after their disappointing double retirement from Spa. Toro Rosso will hope to stay ahead of Renault but anything could happen at the iconic circuit of Monza.
