Verstappen describes relationship with Leclerc as "no different to any other"
- Tom Mason
Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc have known each other for a long time having grown up racing against each other but the Dutchman believes that his relationship with the Ferrari driver is the same as anyone else.
The pair are locked in an exciting battle for third in the drivers' standings with Leclerc 14 points ahead of Verstappen going into the final two races.
Both drivers have won two races this season and have been the best of the rest with Mercedes continuing to be utterly dominant this season.
"It is no different from the one I have with other colleagues, even though I have known Charles for a longer time," Verstappen told Corriere.it.
"He is a great talent, he has the formidable chance of Ferrari and I expect to fight for a long time with him.
"We are young and this is good for F1: the new generations are coming, you have to cheer for us unless you think that it's not boring to see Lewis coming first."
