Vettel: "We have to keep an eye on Verstappen, because he's starting behind us"
For Ferrari qualifying at the Hungarian Grand Prix went well. They start tomorrow's race P5 and P6 which compared to recent weeks is a success. After the two disappointing weekends in Austria, the team seems to be slowly recovering. Sebastian Vettel is therefore satisfied with his performance.
"Today has clearly gone better compared to the last two weekends," Vettel said at Sky Sports. "To get into the final qualifying session with both cars on their own and to perform well is really good, I think. Unfortunately, we didn't have two new sets of tyres at the end, we had to do it with one set. Otherwise, we could probably have done it even faster."
Taking Verstappen into account
The German is positive and is looking forward to the race on Sunday. "It's all good. We are in a good position for tomorrow's race. I expect the cars around us to be as fast as we are, that's why the race tomorrow will be quite difficult."
Many teams in the midfield seem very close and there should be plenty of action in the race tomorrow.
"We'll just try everything. I think we can do better than Racing Point over the whole race when it comes to the tyres. We have to take into account Max, who starts behind us. There will certainly be enough to do tomorrow," concluded Vettel.
