The Russian Grand Prix is back on the Formula 1 schedule. It will feel more normal for the drivers and teams because there will be 30,000 fans spaced around the track. Follow live updates from FP1 in the liveblog below.

After the third triple-header of the 2020 F1 season, teams and drivers had a week off to catch their breath. We will see them back in action this weekend as we move through the second-half of the F1 world championship.

Mercedes unbeaten in Sochi

During practice in Russia, we are expecting to see some major updates to the cars. Mercedes are still the team to beat, but the competition is not sitting still to bridge the gap. Max Verstappen's team were closer in Mugello, but can Red Bull Racing compete for the winners trophy in Russia?

Mercedes have won every race held in Sochi and Verstappen has never been on the podium. During the first practice, however, the Dutchman will do everything he can to find the perfect set-up on his car so that he can pose a threat to Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas on Sunday.
