Doornbos: "With such statements, your credits will be gone in no time"

According to Robert Doornbos, Alexander Albon's cry over the onboard radio during the Eifel Grand Prix was the last straw. The former Formula 1 driver is very dissatisfied with Albon's performance at Red Bull Racing and thinks it's time for another driver.
Albon not good enough
"A terrible situation for Red Bull," is how Doornbos describes the situation at Red Bull in the Ziggo Sport F1 Café. "The team is now walking on one leg."
Max Verstappen carries the whole team on his back according to Doornbos who is assisted by Giedo van der Garde and Jack Plooij.
Albon made a striking statement during the race at the Nurburgring: "They're racing me too hard."
According to Doornbos this statement is not acceptable. "If you make such statements in a race your credits that you have built up with your podium will be gone in no time."
Back to AlphaTauri?
Van der Garde thinks it's time for Albon to take a step back to AlphaTauri: "In my time I had a clause in my contract: If I was so much slower than my teammate during qualifying, you just fly out. I think he will be put back to AlphaTauri."
