Where at Zandvoort a huge orange party took place in the stands, a similar spectacle could be seen taking place at the Italian Monza. Here, 30% of the tickets have been sold to Dutch fans, and given the fact that half of the tickets are still for sale, this number could well increase.

"Only about 15000 spectators are expected on Sunday. Of those, 30% will be Dutch," Piergiusseppe Danodoni, a journalist with the Italian Corriera della Sera, reported on Twitter.

This means that ticket sales at the Italian Autodrome are not going too well. The circuit had decided to make only 30,000 of the usual 60,000 seats available for Sunday, and of these 30,000 tickets, only half have been sold.

Lack of interest

The reason Danodoni gives for this is a logical one. The ailing performance of Ferrari does not encourage fans to buy tickets for the Grand Prix. Last year, neither of the two Scuderia cars made it to the finish line at Monza.
